Hunger
“ A classical soprano improvisation illustrated with contemporary dance moves.
Constantly hungry, never enough. I don't feel full, just fed up. Hunger leads me ahead - the wild and tameless natural desire to fill in the empty spaces: an empty stomach, an empty heart, an empty identity, an empty today, and just as empty tomorrow, an empty, my completely empty being.
I am filling the stomach instead of the heart, filling today and forgetting tomorrow, filling my day with activities, my brain with information, obscuring my eyes with a shining display and forgotting myexistence. And even then, when everything is already too much, still something is missing, still I feel hungry. What the heck is missing?
Hunger - is a wordless sensual story about a woman who desires to find herself. "Is my image what I really am? If not, what am I then?".
Guided by the need to understand her fragile and intangible essence, she ends up on a road in search for her identity.
She tries to clothe herself in thousands of different sizes, colors and styles of clothing, going to great lengths, transforming from skin of identity to another in order to understand and experience her own existence. " U. Dievaitytė
